4 …3….2….1… Step off!!!

We’re so excited to see everyone this Sunday! Here are a few of the details for Sunday both transportation and route information. We will provide a bus at the Will County Fair Grounds, 710 S. West Street, Peotone, at 5:30 am, at the North entrance (East side of Fair grounds). We will be leaving promptly so please plan accordingly.

If you opt to be dropped off at the starting point in Tinley Park, (be advised there will be no parking at the Fire Training Facility), 7850 183rd street Tinley Park, please be there no later then 6:30 am. We will accept sign ins beginning at 6 am, safety brief at 6:45 Step off promptly at 7am.

If for some reason you miss us at Tinley don’t fret, lol, you can meet up with the group at the first stop, Home Depot on Route 50 in Matteson at approximately 9:30 am.

This year we have added a bus to travel along with the Ruckers, we need to keep the group together as much as possible for the safety of everyone. If for some reason we begin to have to large gap, we will have the trailing group, get on the bus until the next stop. If at anytime you’d opt to rest and be picked up along route there are 4 stops at which you may be picked up. We encourage you to rejoin the group on the last leg, Fire Pit Bar & Grill on Route 50 in Peotone approximately 3pm, to walk as a group to the fairgrounds! The short rest stops are as follows:

  • Home Depot -Matteson approx. 9:30 am

  • Gas Station- Stunkel Road & Route 50 approx. 11am- the group will stop briefly at station for bathroom break, then travel to Central for buss transfers, snacks, and medical needs, as the parking lot isn’t equipt for buss.

  • Brains Place/ Monee American Legion-Route 50 Monee- approx. 12:30 pm

  • Fire Pit Bar & Grill- rt 50 Peotone approx. 3 pm final regroup for final leg to fair ground!

 

 

            Last but not least, I would like to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of this military mommas heart for seeing our vision! I truly believe WE can make a difference! Take this opportunity to build the bonds as veterans, military family members, proud Americans and our pooles! For those that aren’t familiar with this term, these are young recruits leaving shortly for boot camp! My hope is that these young ppl will never find themselves alone in the civilian world with out a network of support that will end this 22!!! God Speed My ruck March Family!
