SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS AND VETERANS BEYOND THE YELLOW RIBBON

FAMILIES

The foundation of Americas Military is their family. When a young man or woman embarks on their military journey, the family unit is forever transformed.

A Military families world is often turned upside down.  In a short 13 weeklong period, with little to no contact, their child is transformed into a U.S. Solider, Marine, Airman, or Seamen. Basic Training / Bootcamp delivers the necessary adjustments, physically and psychologically, for these new military members.   Unfortunately, the family is often left unequipped, to continue to be the rock upon which the soldier stands. As parents and family members, the journey often leaves them feeling isolated,  with no training for the different scenarios that run rampant in their minds.

Our duty to these families serving at home has become a priority. Founded by a military mom, Adopt a Soldiers team of “veteran” families, with immense experience with military situations, offers education and support in this new world. Many questions have arisen over the years, from what can we send to basic training  and to how do we get our service member home in an emergency.  AAS strives to serve these families in any way we can.

Our Support includes:

  • Coining Ceremony

  • homecomings

  • Connecting Families with Families

  • Emergency readiness services

  • Various support groups

AAS is always dedicated to finding a way to be there, supporting the heroes that give so much to us! If we can't do it alone..... We'll find others to help get it done!

VETERANS

Our Veterans are facing a struggling VA system today in America. Adopt a Soldier strives to fill in the gaps by aiding our Veterans in the ever-changing world we live in. Some of the ways AAS provides assistance are:

  • Connecting with various VA assistance groups

  • Transportation to Dr. appointments

  • Financial  assistance in the form of a loan/grant

  • Connection  with other Veterans

  • Guidance in Honor flight application along with transportation for hero and family

  • Attend Welcome Home for Honor Flight

  • Support for Homeless Veterans

  • Personal support where needed in areas of transition, family struggles

Our goal is to help in any areas that our Veteran requires guidance. If we don't have the resources, we will try our best to find somewhere that does. Our network grows every year with the help of donations that enable us to go further beyond the YELLOW RIBBON.

Adopt a Soldier is proud to say that we will make every attempt to help our Veterans achieve the civilian life they deserve as warriors of our great Nation.
